Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Maison du Bien ("we," "us") handles information on maisondubien.com. We collect as little as possible: we run no advertising, no analytics trackers, and no third-party marketing scripts.
What we collect
Email address — if you choose to join our register (waitlist), we collect the email address you submit, solely to contact you about Maison du Bien.
Name and shipping address — if you submit our private envoi form, we collect the name and address you provide, solely to send you the parcel you requested. We ask for your consent on that form before you submit it.
One functional cookie — entering a valid access code sets a single cookie ("mdb_access") that keeps the site unlocked for your browser for up to 30 days. It contains no personal information and tracks nothing. We set no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why we show no cookie banner.
Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations, retained on a short rolling basis.
How it's used and shared
We use the information above only to operate the site, deliver what you asked for, and protect against abuse (including rate limiting). We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers who run the site for us: Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data only on our instructions. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Retention
Register emails are kept until you ask to be removed or the register closes. Envoi addresses are used for the single shipment you requested. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and, where applicable, the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We honor such requests regardless of jurisdiction: write to hello@maisondubien.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to submitted information is limited to the maison. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the small amount of data we hold.
Changes
If our practices change, this page will change first, with a new effective date. Material changes to how we use already-collected information will be announced to the addresses on the register.
